## What this error means

The package name isn’t registered in Play Console for this account. Play’s API can’t create apps: the very first bundle has to be uploaded by hand.

## Why it happens

The Play Developer API can only upload to an app that already exists. This package name has no app in the Play Console account the API key belongs to.

## The message tools print

```
Google Api Error: Invalid request - Package not found: com.studio.harbor.
```

## How to fix it

1. Create the app in Play Console with exactly this package name.
2. Upload the first .aab by hand to Internal testing.
3. After that, automated uploads work.

## Check a log that shows this

Paste the failing step into the [build error explainer](https://capwr.app/free-tools/build-error-explainer). It matches this message, and any others in the same log, in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.

## Upload the next Play build without this error

CapWrapp bumps the version code on every ship and uploads the release bundle to Google Play. The first Play upload is still by hand — after that, ships go through the service account.
