What this rejection means
Apps that let people create an account must let them ask for deletion inside the app and from a web page you list in the Data safety form, so people who uninstalled can ask too.
Why reviewers send it
Google requires apps that create accounts to offer deletion both inside the app and from a web page, so people who already uninstalled can still ask. The web link goes in the Data safety form.
The message Google Play sends
Issue found: Account deletion requirements
Your app allows users to create an account but does not provide a way to request account deletion within the app and through a web link declared in the Data safety form. The exact wording changes from one review to the next; the policy name is what to look for.
How to fix it
- Add “Delete account” inside the app, in settings or the profile screen.
- Publish a web page that explains how to ask for deletion — a form or the steps — and names your app and developer.
- Add that URL in Play Console → App content → Data safety (the delete account URL).
- Delete the data, or say which data you keep and why.
Fix it with Lovable, Bolt or Cursor
If the app was built with an AI builder, paste this into it, then check the result on a phone:
Add a “Delete account” button in the profile or settings screen with a confirmation dialog that deletes the user and their data on the backend, then signs out. Also add a public /delete-account page with a deletion request form. What to tell Google Play
Replace the [brackets] with what you actually changed:
Users can delete their account in the app ([path]) and ask for deletion at [URL], which we declared in the Data safety form.Got a different message?
