What this error means
The Xcode project doesn’t say which Apple Developer team signs the app, so Xcode can’t pick a certificate or profile.
Why it happens
Without a Team ID, Xcode has no Apple Developer team to take a certificate and a provisioning profile from.
The message tools print
error: Signing for "App" requires a development team. Select a development team in the Signing & Capabilities editor. (in target 'App' from project 'App')How to fix it
- Set DEVELOPMENT_TEAM to your 10-character Team ID on the App target (Signing & Capabilities in Xcode).
- On CI, pass it to the build — fastlane’s team_id, or DEVELOPMENT_TEAM=… on the xcodebuild command.
