What this rejection means

The reviewer couldn’t get past your login, so they couldn’t review the app. Apple needs working credentials, or a demo mode, for every feature behind an account.

Why reviewers send it

App Review has to see every feature it approves. If the app opens on a login and App Store Connect has no working credentials — or the account needs an emailed code the reviewer can’t receive — the review can’t continue.

The message App Review sends

Guideline 2.1 - Information Needed

We need a demo account to review all of your app’s features. Please provide a user name and password in the App Review Information section in App Store Connect.

The exact wording changes from one review to the next; the guideline number is what to look for.

How to fix it

  1. Create a demo account with sample data that never expires and doesn’t need email or SMS verification.
  2. Enter it in App Store Connect → your app → App Review Information → Sign-in required.
  3. If sign-in is by magic link or one-time code, give that account a password or a fixed code.
  4. Explain in the review notes anything else the reviewer needs to reach the main feature.

Fix it with Lovable, Bolt or Cursor

If the app was built with an AI builder, paste this into it, then check the result on a phone:

Add a password sign-in path for a reviewer demo account that skips email and SMS verification, and seed that account with sample data.

What to reply in App Store Connect

Replace the [brackets] with what you actually changed:

Guideline 2.1 — We have added a demo account in the App Review Information section. It already contains sample data and doesn’t need email verification. To reach [main feature], [steps].

Fixed it? Send the build back to App Review

CapWrapp builds the fixed commit on GitHub’s Mac machines, uploads it to TestFlight, and sends the build you pick to App Review from one page — no Xcode.
